Things to put on your Wishlist #1

In my late night traversing through Mr. Gore's superhighway of information, I've stumbled across a myriad of bizarre and creative offerings. These findings have spurred me to create a special category for the blog: Things to put on your Wish list. I thought we'd start off with something perfect for every woman that wants to treated like a princess. your. own. title. of. nobility. Can you even imagine?! According to the website:

This gift idea is guaranteed to bring you or a loved one:
Increased respect from the people you know
VIP treatment
Access to the privileged world
A instant talking point with your friends
Prestige in the financial world
A boost to your personal confidence
Opportunities that otherwise would've passed you by
Opened doors in your career
Discounts in the consumer world

Hello! How do I sign up for this?! Should I go with the ever popular Lady? Or how about the slightly more graceful yet powerful Baroness? Perhaps a more exotic feeling Marchioness? Countess is just so flamboyant, and Dame too plebeian. Is a decision even possible? And before you get too carried away, I should also mention that this title of nobility comes with it's very own tailor fitted ebony jacket. I know, I know, but there's still more. For those that aren't current on your nobility etiquette, there's even a helpful booklet included to teach you how to use your title to its maximum potential. Imagine the Christmas cards I could send out with this :)

Peruse the site, whether you want one for yourself or a friend. Be sure to check out the Royal FAQs here. Happy Title hunting!

My hubby is British and people are FOREVER asking him if he knows the Queen - with our very own titles perhaps we won't feel so funny now about saying no -- especially when we have titles of our own! *lol*

Auds at Barking Mad!

Gee I've always wanted to be an American Royal. How does Lord Lewis Preston Brooks, III sound?

My word verification is "dried." Is the blog trying to tell me something? Hmmm...

I love that at one point they say about titles like "Prince and Princess" that "titles don't need to be purchased as a pair, they are also sold separately." Yeah, forget J. I'd like to be a Princess but I'd prefer he stay a serf and keep bringing me coffee... :) Hilarious.

Finally a gift to get for that person who has everything! Too funny. I'm trying to decide between Countess and Duchess.

Holy crap ... I am NOT letting my husband anywhere near the internet. He'd buy the air we breathe if it was available online - something like this? He's be all over it.

That's hilarious!! Where do I go if I want to be Queen?

I'm sensing a theme of late night web surfing. LOL!

I checked the site out, amazing! Like you, I'm having a difficult time deciding what title to chose. Lady seems almost too common, although its my first choice. Duchess sounds like a dog.

Now I know what to tell my children to get me for Christmas!!!

thequeenmommy said...

My only problem is I CAN'T be an official Queen!!! sigh. I personally like Dame - but Lady is soooo classy - what did you settle on?

Kristy said...

lol congrats on being featured on SITS today!

Wow. Now there's something I I never thought would make its way to my Christmas wish list!

Just curious - how do you even stumble upon something like that?? LOL

Seriously?! Do you suppose the people who buy them can say their names--and titles--with a straight face. I am trying to think who I should buy one of these for. It would be more fun to bestow one upon someone and just wait to see how they react!

**bows to you** , m'lady...lol good job being on getting FB!!!

That is one of the most bizarre things I have ever seen. One day when I'm rich, I'm totally going to give that to someone as a gift.

I'm trying to decide - Countess or Baroness? They both sound pretty regal, don't they? This is definitely the thing to get for someone who has everything.

Andrea said...

Haha, that's awesome.

Very interesting. I think "Lady" sounds nice. :) And, I've always wanted an ebony jacket (lol)

You can buy (read: give away your money for) ANYTHING, can't you??

Happy SITS day!!! I think I'm going to put "be a Princess" on my Christmas list...I'll probably get the blow dryer instead!

Irene said...

Well...I have always considered myself to be a princess, haha, so now I can finally make it official--yay!!

BoufMom9 said...

LOL Will need to sign my daughters up for this... they certainly think they are princesses :)

I like the way you think SITSta! Congrats on being featured!!!

Jodi said...

Wow - I feel special!

Mrsbear said...

Ha! I'd never thought it was possible. I think Baroness has a lovely ring to it, I'd have to fake a British accent, but it's a way better gift than a purse or a scarf.

Michelle said...

Is it sad that I'm seriously considering this? How fun! So what title did you decide upon?

blueviolet said...

I could come up with my own service for some rather swanky titles of the unmannerly variety. What do ya say...partners?

Happy SITS day!

jubilee said...

Hmmm . . . I am thinking I'd go with Baroness. Fun to think about though!

Janna Bee said...

I have to quote the movie "A little Princess" and say "I am a princess- all little girls are!"

Tracy P. said...

Nobility etiquette--yes, right, I am not. quite. current.

I am such a commoner.

The website says, "And I haven't even mentioned the treatment you can expect from airlines. A story from one of my customers is that a new desk at a major airport was opened up especially for him, only to be closed again when he was checked in. Not in his original seat - but upgraded to first class!"

Wow! Just think, if only you had been "Lady Chreste" when you were flying American through O'Hare...

{leah} said...

I totally want one! This is definately going on my wish list!

Anna Lefler said...

I am SO all over that. I'm not asking for a HUGE tiara. Just, you know, a medium-sized one.

:^) Anna

Thanks so much for the tip - I'm rushing over there right now! ;)
