Drawbacks

Teaching Pros:

  • Weekends and all major holidays off

  • 2 week Christmas vacation

  • 14 weeks of summer vacation

  • sending the "problem" kids home to their parents at 3:30 every afternoon

  • School Supplies

  • Wearing Jeans every Friday

Teaching Cons:

  • Catching every single bug/germ/virus that enters your room because you ran out of the antibacterial hand stuff.

Did the election (bulletin board) make you sick? I hope each party is equally represented! Sorry you work in a petri dish. And when did you not work on a weekend or during the summer? Still jealous of your jeans on friday!

I am so sorry....not a good way to start out. I had library aides blowing their noses and then using the barcode scanner..I was going to wipe that dang (LA term) thing off and I forgot...boo hooo...hope I am not next.

Hope you feel better....

Aw, what a way to start the year! Before I had my kids, I taught elementary school and it was like working in a plague ward! I was ALWAYS sick. Of course, now my wee-ones are the ones who infect me, but somehow it seems less annoying coming from them :)

Hope you're feeling better!
